FormRecognizer issues while creating Custome model

228689-formrecongnizer-bad-request.png228630-formrecongnizer-bad-request.pngI keep getting "Operation returned an invalid status code 'Bad Request'" error messages, though I ensured that I picked the correct supported region (South Central US) and also ensured that the forms recognizer name, storage name and everything are valid. Try many times, but no luck.

Also found a bug, where it mentions that the "Selected resource doesn't support Neural model training Click here for details", but it should actually say "select region, not location, because I picked East US2 at that time.

Attached are the 2 screenshots and I can provide more details if nee228754-formrecongnizer-resource-request.png228724-formrecongnizer-resource-request.pngded.

@RaviPenmetsa-4878 Thanks for the question. We are able to create the custom model as shown below. Can you please retry once again? .For custom models, you can either use a Contributor role, or use the endpoint and key of a Form Recognizer or Cognitive Services multi-service resource to create a project. You also need to have Contributor role to access to at least one blob storage account.

The regions are restricted for neural model training from August 1st. Here is the documenation..

Hi @ramr-msft
After few tries, I was able to successfully create the custom models over the weekend (attached), but as you can see in the screen shots from the prior post:
First and Second screen shots - It shows "Operation returned an invalid status code 'Bad request'", though I selected SouthCentralUS, which is a supported region. Why did it throw this error and the error message is not helpful at all to troubleshoot further.
Third Screen shot - I selected WestUS2, which is not a supported region. In this case the error message says, "Selected resource doesn't support,,,,, etc" but I think the error message should say, "selected resource is not supported in this location", or something like that as it would be more specific, because I had to do lot of research and finally was able to identify that I was picking a non-supported region.

Thanks,

@RaviPenmetsa-4878 Thanks for the update. We will create a backlog item to review and update the error message to be helpful to troubleshoot.
