Seeing Error Code 6 on Edge for macOS, Started seeing it when I update Safari
I have the same problem today (9/16/20). Other browsers (Safari, Chrome) work fine. I uninstall / reinstalled the Edge browser but the problem remains. Browser extensions such as AdBlock keeps crashing and won't load.
What is the Mac OS version and Edge version you're using? I find that a lot of people have the same issue with you. It happens in macOS 10.15.6 and after installing the latest version of Safari. You can also try to restart your Mac to see if it works because some people says it can be solved by restart.
As the restarting method can fix the issue. I want to put it as an answer.
I test on a MacBook Pro with macOS Catalina Version 10.15.6 and the issue happens after installing the latest update for Safari. I can fix the issue by restarting the machine. Test with Edge Stable 85.0.564.51.

Yes I believe MSFT Edge is behaving strangely after the Safari browser was updated.
Indeed - restarting the MacBook Pro solves the Edge browser problem. Now it behaves as normal and the extensions all load properly. Thanks for the help.
