Using a Windows desktop client is NOT a "workaround'!!!
Seriously, what's the point of releasing a Linux version and then never updating it? Telling people that they have to install a different operating system if they want new features speaks clearly of Microsoft's unchanged attitude to those who do not want to use their operating system.
The repository is installed correctly. If you look at the contents of the repository, there have been no updates to it since 1.3.00.5153.
The only entry in the roadmap that you link to which is related to Linux is one called "Teams for Linux Client" due in Q4 2019. I'm really missing the ability to take control of a colleagues shared screen which has already been rolled out to Teams for Windows. Cool backgrounds are something I can provide myself in Linux, so I'm not hurting for that, but Linux users are being left out on essential features and bug/security fixes.
I thought the whole idea behind using Electron was to make it simple to create a cross-platform Teams client and keep it up to date.
It would be great if that menu item actually told me anything. It leads to this page:
I received the notification on the 22nd of May but the last update to the information is from the 17th.
The information seems to be about what was added to the Windows and MacOS versions of Teams.
How about adding a "Linux" tab to that page?
