Microsoft Inspire brings together our partners from around the world and showcases the truly inspirational transformations that they are engineering for our customers worldwide.

It’s always a particular delight to be able to acknowledge our standout partners each year and to demonstrate how they have gone above and beyond to ensure the success of our customers.

For this year’s Microsoft Inspire Awards we had over 2,600 submissions from 115 countries and the calibre of the submissions was extraordinary.

I’m delighted to announce that rhipe has been named Australia’s Country Partner of the year for 2018. rhipe has forged its own very strong alliance with 1700 Microsoft partners to accelerate cloud-based digital transformation across the nation.

Leveraging Microsoft Azure and the rich array of Microsoft tools and services, rhipe and its partners are working with organisations in every sector and geography. Innovative solutions, such as rhipe’s PRISM cloud portal that simplifies cloud billing and provisioning, and its smart marketing support for partners is what sets it apart and has led to significant growth over the last 12 months for rhipe and its partner ecosystem.

We also had a number of other Australian winners in a few different categories. The Dynamics 365 for Field Service Award was won this year by Velrada . It leverages Dynamics 365, Microsoft Azure and Office 365 to develop deeply commercial solutions that typically generate a time to value window of just six months. Its systems have been deployed by global companies such as Sodexo, not for profits including Silverchain and a range of government agencies. Testament to the power of those solutions is the fact that Velrada itself is seeing 30 per cent revenue growth – and 300 per cent growth in its facilities management business.

The 2018 Financial Services Award goes to Vector Risk . Using Microsoft Azure, MS HPC Pack and MS SQL Server, Vector Risk has developed solutions that help financial services businesses comply with a rising tide of compliance obligations, particularly associated with reviews of trading books. Vector Risk’s solution delivers absolute clarity about exposures – reducing risk and streamlining compliance.

Taking out the Media and Communications Award is Advvy which helps media agencies streamline campaign planning by creating a workflow solution that allows marketing teams and media planners to collaborate more effectively. Built in Dynamics 365 and leveraging Office 365 and Azure’s analytics capabilities the media agency workflow solution has been widely deployed to reduce administrative overhead, turnaround and response times.

Adopt & Embrace was awarded the Teamwork Award for 2018. This partner demonstrated how it is possible to drive broad adoption of Office 365 by aligning closely to C-suite business priorities, and in turn secure benefits for all employees that ripple right across the organisation.

I’d also like to note the success of Datacom which was a finalist in the App Innovation Award this year for its work developing a customer service app for the electricity industry. In addition, Sensei Project Solution for being a finalist in the category of the 2018 Project and Portfolio Management Partner of the Year Award.

There are also a number of other partners that I wanted to highlight that are also playing a profoundly important role in the transformation taking place right across Australia.

DDLS has the largest community of Microsoft certified trainers in Australia and works with developers, end users and other partners to make sure everyone has the skills for success; Advance Computing which has leveraged its understanding of agribusinesses to deploy ground breaking solutions including an Azure and IoT system developed for Australian Consolidated Milk that’s helping ensure top quality while reining in costs and boosting efficiency; also, KPMG and Commonwealth Bank has developed a ground-breaking solution called Wiise to help SMEs grow and prosper, leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365.

I’d like to add my personal congratulations to all our winners and finalists this year and look forward to celebrating further success throughout 2018.
