Changes to the Microsoft Partner Network affecting your business & Opportunity for you with Platform Ready

Beginning next month, Microsoft will release new Partner competencies based on specific skills attained by your organisation, moving away from the generic Gold/Certified/Registered Partner status. Is your organisation prepared?

The September includes guest speaker Sarah Arnold, a veteran of Microsoft Australia’s Partner Group, presenting on the new assessments and certifications required to retain your Microsoft competencies and/or attain a new one. This event is especially relevant to our NSW.NET audience and will pick up where the Australian Partner Conference left off.

For Registered Partners you will change to either Community members or Subscription members. Come along and understand the benefits and features of these and the implications for your business. At the other end of the spectrum, Gold Certified and Certified Partners will have to gain the new competencies which include new non-technical exams. David Gage, General Manager of Dimension Data Learning Solutions (winner, Microsoft Certified Partner Learning Solutions ‘Partner of the Year’ 2010) will also be on hand to outline how the training community is supporting Partners’ efforts to meet new training and certification requirements.

Microsoft also has exciting news for ISVs & Software Developers!  Microsoft Platform Ready (MPR) will be part of the Microsoft Partner Network for the ISV competency.  MPR will help you get your application to market quicker on the latest platform e.g. Azure.  MPR also provides great resources to help you market your product.

Learn first hand what MPR means to your business and be one of the first to profile your application.  By doing so by the end of October will ensure you are included in the AIIA ‘Buy Australian Software’ Catalog.

We will also facilitate our recently trialed ‘Clever Connections’ networking session. Over a continental breakfast, network with our guests and other technology focused companies to identify skills and synergies, share knowledge and pool resources.
