This course is designed to introduce students to developing cloud based applications using Microsoft Azure and the Azure .NET SDK. This course lays a foundation by covering Azure fundamentals and key compute technologies with virtual machines. It then moves on to SQL Database, identity management, and then to developer platform-as-a-service options within Azure App Services. From there it rounds out the material by covering the range of Azure storage solutions, NoSQL with Cosmos DB, and then finally on to advanced topics with Azure Service Bus messaging and micro-services with Azure Service Fabric.  This course focuses on the considerations necessary when building a highly available solution in the cloud.

With over 18 years of experience in the IT Industry, Glenn Morris is truly one of the most respected MVP's, Microsoft Certified Trainers and Consultants in Australia. Starting out as a developer in Canada after completing Masters in Mathematics, Glenn quickly immersed himself in the world of code while also looking 'beyond the code' at an area that was then termed "Intelligent Business" in the late 1990's. Combining the code with the business processes he took a role Lecturing at the London School of Accounting and Management where he taught Programming, Performance Management, Business Intelligence and Capability & Maturity Management within IT. As well as the lecturing role Glenn fulfilled a number of contract roles with Capital Projects, Interquad and Metro Projects taking him into Enterprise roles like the development of the London Underground Oyster Card and allowing more insight into improving businesses and business systems. Since settling in Australia, Glenn has continued to work as a Consultant and Trainer focusing on 'Intelligent Business' by using their data more intelligently. This has added a Data Science role to an already broad skillset.  Holding a number of degrees and certifications, including an MCT, MCSD, MCSA, MCSE, MCPD, MCMBS he continues to improve and extend the knowledge to customers through consulting, training, speaking as well as running classes where he teaches kids programming and computer science.
