Flight Simulator 2004

Scoble has a couple of recent blogs about Flight Simulator 2004 that are pretty interesting:

  • Their philosophy is “as real as it gets”, with an example of smoke curling off of the tires of a 747 when you land it (I have problems landing them).
  • An update on the artwork and a DC-3 cockpit control panel that was purchased off of eBay as a reference when adding a DC-3 to Flight Simulator.

The thing I like about Flight Simulator 2004 is that I can take off from Lake Union in Seattle on a seaplane and fly over where my houseboat should be (the houses aren’t in Flight Simulator). Every morning we wake up to the buzz and roar of seaplanes as they pull up so they don’t hit the highway 99 (Aurora) bridge.
