Tell us who you are and your role in the company:

CEO.

What did you do before creating your company?

I've been running a number of technology based companies since i left school.... for the past 11 years.

How do you feel being the most promising ‘Startup of the Day’ per Microsoft BizSpark?

It's pretty cool. We're really trying to do something innovative with Connect2Field and it's awesome to have the recognition for that.

What is your company’s mission?

To simplify the life of field service companies, businesses who have workers mobile in the field. We do that by improving, organizing and simplifying their business.

Connect2Field improves, organizes and simplifies your Service business.

How did you get the idea for your company?

I used to run a service business with computer techs running around Sydney servicing our customers and we needed to find a better way of managing all of our data. Connect2Field would have solved all the problems we had and would have made life so much easier.

Tell us about your funding history. Are you currently looking for funding? If so, how much?

Self funded to date.

How many employees do you have? How many developers?

10, including 7 developers.

Always hiring, looking for talented developers to work with.

Which platform are you building on?Why?

Microsoft Azure & SQL Azure - it's got a great balance of economics, scalability and support that makes it the ideal choice.

Where do you see opportunities today in the Software/Internet area?

Bringing cloud enabled software to the real world. Making a real difference for businesses.

What do you think about the BizSpark Program?

It's a great way to give smart young developers a leg up. Without wanting to suck up, it's great to see Microsoft helping startup companies.

Do you have any advice for young Software entrepreneurs?

Just do it, the first step is the hardest. Once you start it's all about keeping the momentum of moving forward.

That there are people doing things for the real world, creating applications not solely focused on early adopters.
