logo BonzaQuote is a Dublin-based, award-winning online marketplace and community for Do-It-Yourself (DIY) materials and activities. BonzaQuote’s online platform provides DIY’ers with tips, tutorials, and an instant online price and quality comparison tool – enabling DIY enthusiasts and tradespeople to get the best prices on tools and materials they need, directly from retailers. “We have over 150,000 products on our website,” says COO and Co-Founder Tess Drea, “with everything from paint and nails, to drywall and timber, we partner with all the industry-leading retailers to help our users find the best products at the lowest prices.”

Free and easy to use for DIYers, BonzaQuote is seeing great traction with hobbyists and tradespeople. Already named a top 20 startup by Silicon Republic and a top 100 business by the Sunday Business Post, BonzaQuote was selected to participate in the prestigious Blackbox Connect program – the leading accelerator program for high-growth potential international startups. Selected from thousands of companies, BonzaQuote was the only Irish company represented in the esteemed field of 15. “This was an excellent opportunity for us to gain exposure to the US market. If you want to be an industry-leader, connecting with Silicon Valley is a must.”

A Microsoft BizSpark member, BonzaQuote is a newcomer to the Azure platform. The company made the decision to leverage the Microsoft hosting tool as they began to plan their launch into the US and UK marketplaces. “We currently use Azure to host our Irish and UK domains,” continues Drea, “As we prepare for our launch in the UK later this year, we know we need a product that can handle a heavy traffic load.”
