The case study is based on a project Lead Time Technology completed with Owens-Illinois Closure and Specialty Products. O-I manufactures parts for specialized closures for pharma, chemical, and personal care products, and a rise in make-to-order jobs began to hamper its regular stock production. They used Microsoft technology and Lead Time's advanced planning solution to reduce inventory by $2.5 million and increase on-time delivery to 98.7%.
