Dec 7, 2005 - Lahore, Pakistan

All the events to date have been very successful and interest in both VSTS 2005 and SQL Server 2005 have been high. However in Pakistan the interest has been exceptionally so. So many people showed up in Lahore that we had to turn away about 400 people because we could not fit any more people in the room. In the end, we were able to accommodate around 600 attendees. If you were turned away please accept our apologies, but typically only about 25% of those that register actually show up. Because of this we plan for around 40% as a buffer and so as not to spend money for attendees who do not show up. However in Lahore, over 50% of those who registered showed up.

The event was very “lively” to say the least and the excitement definitely aroused the interest of the hotel staff because of the noise levels. Whether or not you were able to attend, please consider coming to the Pakistan Developers Conference which we are currently planning and will be held tentatively in June. The event has typically been in Karachi and we will certainly have one in Karachi this year as well. We had many people ask to hold this event in Lahore as well and we are certainly investigating the possibilities.
