Expression Web is our tool for creating standards-based Web sites. It’s the next version of what used to be called FrontPage.

Expression Media helps you manage digital assets that belong to you, your design and development team, as well the projects that use them.

Expression Encoder allows you to encode video for the web and for devices, gives designers the ability to easily create Silverlight experiences that are ready for publishing directly from within Encoder, and also allows you to stream live video to be broadcast over the web.

All these products can be purchased separately or together in the Expression Studio. If you’re a Visual Studio Professional with MSDN Professional Subscriber (or above), you have access to both Expression Web and Expression Blend. If you’re a Visual Studio Team Suite with MSDN Premium Subscriber, you have access to Expression Studio.

If you’re designer who doesn’t need Visual Studio or have nothing to do with code, we offer the Expression Professional Subscription . Think of it as MSDN for your designers. With this, you get Expression Studio, Visual Studio Standard Edition, Office Standard, Visio Professional, Windows XP and Vista Business Edition, Virtual PC and Parallels Desktop so you can run Expression on a Mac.
