GPS and Bluetooth - better together

There is growing evidence that integration is the name of the game when it comes to wireless technologies at the moment.

At an organization level CSR best known for its Bluetooth chips bought the household name in GPS receiver technology SiRF earlier this month, the details of which are in their press release.

Then there is the announcement by Broadcom of its integrated  Bluetooth, GPS and FM receive and FM transmit chip set.

The synergy between these technologies seems undeniable and promises even more tightly wireless capabilities in our future devices with GPS capabilities becoming ubiquitous.
