Captaris Announces General Availability of TIFF iFilter

Captaris announces general availability of the industry’s only TIFF iFilter for Microsoft Office SharePoint® Server 2007. Captaris put to use its powerful OCR engine to enable the new TIFF iFilter to conduct full text search and retrieval of image documents alongside Microsoft Office and other electronic documents. The new product was developed in response to a direct request from Microsoft’s customers for TIFF support in Office SharePoint Server 2007. The Captaris TIFF iFilter supports Office SharePoint Server 2007, Search Server 2008 and Search Server 2008 Express. 

 

The Captaris TIFF iFilter is available immediately for purchase and download from the Captaris website at https://www.captaris.com/tiff_ifilter/index.html. Captaris offers a Standard edition, which is priced at $299 for two core and a Professional edition, which is priced at $499 for four core. The Standard edition and its 30-day evaluation are now available on the website. The Professional edition will be available at the end of September.
