En härlig höst för mobilutvecklare


Det kan nog inte ha sprungit någon förbi att SonyEricsson inom kort kommer att släppa sin Xperia som använder Windows Mobile 6.1 som operativsystem och med andra ord kan utvecklas emot med hjälp av Visual Studio och .NET Compact Framework. En kollega vid namn Peter Wissinger har skrivit om Xperia och gjort en utvärdering av telefonen som helhet och om jag får mina händer på en så kommer säkert en utvärdering av telefonen som utvecklingsplattform. En sak som är lite extra cool är just möjligheten att utveckla så kallade paneler som är små skräddarsydda applikationer som ersätter den vanliga "start"-skärmen. Även dessa kan du som utvecklare skapa själv, antingen med HTML eller C++ och SonyEricsson har varit vänliga att ta fram ett SDK till Visual Studio 2005, och jag hoppas på en uppdatering till Visual Studio 2008 inom kort. Med SDK't följer en emulator och en del exempel så det finns inga ursäkter för att inte prova vad just du kan göra med telefonen och dess paneler.
