I've been Slacking on Posting

It's been a while since I've posted... time flies when you’re having fun.  I will get some code samples going one of these days.  One of my many big projects lately has been around Virtual PC (VPC) images.  These can be difficult to setup and configure a complete system on one machine (especially virtual).  Then there are a bunch of legal requirements for posting these images for our beta participants.  Well I'm very happy that I think I've actually gotten through most of the work and we should see an image on the beta site within two weeks.  We have been trying to figure out how to get more feedback earlier on Project Server since the later feedback comes the less likely we can do anything about it.  So I really hope that this image will help our beta participants get more cycles with Project Server.

BTW installing Project Server 2007 Beta 1 TR1 was a breeze with no issues.  We really made great strides in refining the installation processes since beta 1.  Took me less than two hours from start to finish including stretch breaks, email, and miscellaneous other time wasters.

Nothing really new on the sample front.  I'm speaking at Office Developer Conference next week, so that has been the other big thing occupying my time.  This will be a different presentation for me.  Anyone who has seen me speak knows that I do the low level, bare metal, 400 level, detailed sessions.  I'm doing the Introduction to Project Server Architecture session.  It sets the stage for everyone else to go deep.  So for any of you in the audience on Tuesday... be kind :).  If you say "Not technical enough."  all I can say is I know, but most people don't know about Project Server, and I needed to do an intro, and I tried to make it interesting.  So if you know a little bit about Project Server or haven't seen Project Server 2007, this will be a great session for you.  If you attended one of my 400 level sessions at Project Conference this year... no giggling from the back row... this one is not for you, wait for Ameya to come on.

P.S.  If you want to talk 400 level I'll be in the Ask the Experts area after my talk.   I would love to chat C#, PSI, message queues... and wipe off that hint of marketing smell I may have.
