HELP! I have lost my email....

I have been getting lately the same questions from partners and customers about loosing email when people start using the Microsoft CRM Client for Outlook. In the Microsoft CRM client for Outlook you cannot use a drag-and-drop operation to move or copy Outlook e-mail messages. A dragged message does not appear in a Microsoft CRM folder even if it is moved or copied into the folder.

How to retreive an Outlook message that has been dragged into a Microsoft CRM folder

  1. In Outlook, on the Navigation Pane under All Mail Folders, right-click the Microsoft CRM folder that contains the dragged message. On the shortcut menu, click Properties.
  2. In the Properties dialog box, click the Home Page tab.
  3. Clear the Show home page by default for this folder check box, and then click OK.
  4. Open the Microsoft CRM folder and drag the message back into an Outlook folder.
  5. Right-click the Microsoft CRM folder again, and on the shortcut menu, click Properties.
  6. In the Properties dialog box, click the Home Page tab.
  7. Select Show home page by default for this folder check box, and then click OK.
