TEMENOS T24 and SQL Server 2012 running on Intel Xeon processor-based servers set a new world record in the latest high-water benchmarking tests
Temenos is the market-leading provider of integrated core banking systems, with more than 1,500 customers and 700 implementations in more than 125 countries. Temenos works closely with Microsoft to provide financial institutions with scalable, high-performing, and affordable banking solutions.
As part of their strategic alliance, Temenos and Microsoft, together with Intel, conducted high-water benchmark testing with TEMENOS 24 running on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 CTP3 and Intel Xeon processor-based servers. The results were extremely impressive. At peak performance, the system processed 11,500 transactions per second in online business testing and averaged more than 10,000 interest accrual and capitalizations per second during close-of-business testing, processing 25 million capitalizations and account accruals in less than 42 minutes.
This record-breaking performance, together with the massive scalability of SQL Server 2012, make the combination of Temenos, Microsoft, and Intel technologies a smart solution for even the world’s largest banks.
