imageThe SQL PASS Summit is round the corner and we are quite excited about it. The Microsoft SQL Server Tiger team will be at the SQL PASS Summit and is looking forward to meet the SQL Family. We will also be speaking at a few sessions during this summit. The PASS Summit is the world’s largest conference for anyone using Microsoft’s Data Platform offerings. This October between 26th and 30th October, the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle is going to see a lot of SELECTs on geeky sessions, #sql conversations and an overdose of cool demos!

There are over 200 technical sessions, 19 pre-conference sessions, SQL Server Clinic and the world’s biggest congregation of SQL Server professionals! Put all of that into a convention center, we are talking about a whole week of fun! Get ready to learn about Accelerating your Business with a Modern Data Strategy keynote from our Corporate Vice President, Joseph Sirosh and Partner Director, Shawn Bice. Come learn everything you want to know about next-generation SQL Server, mission critical performance and scale for transactional, data warehouse and mixed workloads, structured and unstructured data, security innovations, availability and reliability improvements, advanced analytics, business intelligence, world class scale on-premises and to the cloud.

The keynote on Day 2 will be delivered by one of the most well known faces in the Data Platform world, David DeWitt and Rimma Nehme on Data Management of Internet of Things (IoT) . IoT has resulted in unprecedented needs for data storage, processing and analysis. In this keynote, David and Rimma will start from the core definition and architecture of IoT and will describe the "what", "why" and "how" of IoT and its data requirements for the audience to derive a holistic view of the technology.

So what is the MSSQLTIGER team going to be doing at PASS?

SQL tiger Twitter_150SQL Server Clinic

And if you didn’t have enough reasons already to attend, there will be a number of Tigers at the SQL Server Clinic on all three days of the summit. If you have a problem with how SQL Server is behaving, mis-behaving or even how you wanted it to behave (read: design change requests), we will be more than willing to hear about it. And if you do miss out on the questions being asked, we will do a round-up of the questions that we received on our blog after the summit.

Look out for signs directing you to the Tiger at the clinic! So stop by to growl, roar or talk (these tigers can talk as well) with us!
