Microsoft preparing resources for Kinect controlled Windows Apps

On the Kinect for Windows Blog yesterday, it was announced that we will be releasing an update to the Kinect for Windows runtime and software development kit (SDK) on October 8. This release will bring “numerous new features that deliver additional power to Kinect for Windows developers and business customers,” including more sensor data for business or retail use cases; a best-in-class sample UI for developers; and most important, support for Windows 8 PC apps. The update will support Microsoft .NET 4.5 and Visual Studio 2012.
