Hands on Training with top solutions in the Azure Marketplace

I wanted to pass along an announcement that went out on the Microsoft US Partner Community Yammer network earlier this week as I think it needs reinforcement and additional exposure.   As Azure Training is a topic I am continuously asked about, I want to make certain you are all aware of these upcoming trainings on top Azure Marketplace solutions.

Credit to Nick Johnson, National PTS, for the original yammer post.   Once registered you will be contacted and given information on how to install prerequisites in your Azure subscription before the lab.  The first session on Barracuda has occurred yesterday and I will update this post with any information concerning a recording for that training should it become available.

Hands-on Labs with Microsoft and Azure Marketplace Partners

Microsoft is hosting a series of virtual lab events designed to help you experience popular Azure Marketplace solutions through a hands-on, guided experience. Whether you’re interested in DevOps, security, big data or learning how to manage your system better—we’ve got a session for you.

Please register for one or more of the complimentary virtual labs events sponsored by Microsoft. During these 1.5 hour labs, top Azure Marketplace partners like Chef, Barracuda, KEMP and others will discuss their solutions, demo key scenarios, and answer questions from you.

It doesn’t matter if you’re new to these solutions or already an expert, these sessions will give you the foundational knowledge you need to compare, test, and deploy technologies in your organization.

How to get started:

  • Check out the schedule and register for the upcoming virtual labs
  • Reach out to your Microsoft representative to install the pre-requisites before the event or email SuperHuman_Help@microsoft.com if you’re not sure who your representative is

Who should attend:

Technical professionals responsible for DevOps, Security, Big Data or Management Solutions; individuals that need to understand the hottest technology trends but do not have weeks to learn them; or IT professionals with a passion for learning.

The hands on labs require you to have a working Azure subscription.

Event Schedule:

Dev Ops

Chef - June 1st (Register)

Docker - June 8th (Register)

Core OS - June 22nd (Register)

KEMP - May 19th (Register)

Big Data

Hortonworks - May 11th (Register)

DataStax - May 25th (Register)

Nasuni - June 15th (Register)

Cloud Cruiser - May 18th (Register)

Hanu - June 8th (Register)

If you are not familiar with the Azure Marketplace I recommend you explore the wealth of solutions available.  There are multitude of pre-configured virtual machines and API apps with marketplace vendor solutions available to deploy immediately and with little hassle saving you time in delivering customer solutions on Azure.

Although the Azure Marketplace cannot be purchased via Azure Open credits, the intention is to extend the Azure Marketplace to CSP purchases & subscriptions in the short term.  It will be exciting to have this great gallery of solution offerings extended to and through the channel!
