Microsoft Virtual Academy

Tim Tetrick

Just wanted to remind all you partners out there about this great resource that provides you and your customers with FREE training on Microsoft products and services.

What is MVA?

Successful technologists never stop learning and great technology never stops evolving. Microsoft Virtual Academy (MVA) offers online Microsoft training delivered by experts to help technologists continually learn, with hundreds of courses, in 11 different languages. Our mission is to help developers, knowledgeable IT professionals and advanced students learn the latest technology, build their skills, and advance their careers. MVA is free of charge, and the entire service is hosted on Windows Azure.

Find a Course

From the MVA home page or from Courses in the navigation bar, you can browse our courses by topic or product, or search by clicking View All Courses. Our upcoming live, interactive training events are featured in tiles on the upper-right of our pages and from Live Events on the navigation bar. To attend, register either in advance or on the day of the event.

Create a Learning Plan

My Learning Plan is a way to organize courses you’re interested in taking towards your training and career goals. Once you register as an MVA member, you can add courses to a plan by clicking Add to my learning plan next to the course descriptions, whenever you find a course you’re interested in. You can edit and manage your learning plans from My Dashboard.

Points and Leaderboard

Our point system is designed to help you track your investment in MVA training and to help you see how you stack up compared to others. As you progress through courses, you earn points through eligible activities like watching videos and downloading documents. On the right side of our pages you can find the top 3 students on MVA both globally and in your country. On our Top Students leader board you can also see daily, monthly and all-time leading point earners, as well as your own position.
