Speaking at Packaging Event 2007 in Amsterdam on October 11th

The Packaging Event 2007 in Amsterdam has kindly invited the Windows Installer team to speak on October 11th, 2007.  Robert Flaming, Windows Installer Program Manager, will be giving a talk on

Windows Installer (MSI) 4.5 and Other Trends in Packaging

This talk will discuss the targeted architectural changes in the upcoming Windows Installer 4.5 release as well as other trends we see in packaging and how these trends will effect System Administrators. Topics to be discussed include:

-       Multiple-package product deployment such as Office 2007 and the upcoming SQL Katmai release
-       Servicing files that are common to many packages whether from MSMs or due to multi-instancing
-       Other trends we are seeing in packaging such as data center packaging, imaging, and personalization
