The Databricks Unified Analytics Platform for Genomics is a platform for unified analysis of large-scale genomics data created by augmenting all capabilities of the Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform with features offered by Databricks Runtime for Genomics.
Databricks Runtime for Genomics offers two categories of features:
Optimized versions of all features offered by the Databricks-Regeneron open-source project Glow. Azure Databricks is the best platform to use Glow as it provides several optimizations and a seamless user experience. For information on features in Glow, see the Glow documentation. You can import all example notebooks in the Glow documentation into an Azure Databricks workspace and run them on clusters that use Databricks Runtime for Genomics.
