Reusable content blocks enable Marketing users to define and store reusable blocks of content that are easy to add to email and page designs. For example, if you've created a beautiful header for a marketing page, you can make it a standard design element by saving it as a reusable block.

In most cases, the design and content of a content block are locked when used in the graphical designer, but you can choose to un-protect content blocks that contain just a single image, which will allow other users to change the image source and properties for those blocks in their local designs. Users that have access to the advanced HTML editor can see that a block is protected, but will still be able modify the code if needed.

Reusable content blocks provide a protected way to distribute standard design elements among your team. This will enable users to work more quickly, and because you can protect the content, you can improve compliance with your brand identity and organizational design standards.

Use the new content-blocks creator to define the content, design, and protected status for each reusable content block. You can even include dynamic values from Dynamics 365. Once a block is saved and published, you and other users will be able to add it to a page or email design and see its content in the designer. Each block could be as simple as a call-to-action button, or as complex as an event countdown timer.
