Advanced compensation access

In organizations, specialized roles might exist for managing compensation. This new role-based access provides for specialization when managing compensation and the processing of compensation. Fixed and Variable plans can be defined to be available only to named roles. Only the roles specified will have access to the plans and the employee data related to the plans (salary, bonus records, and so on).

Organizations can define the roles that will be able maintain and view compensation for different employee groups. Compensation for the general employee population can be managed by one role while compensation for executives can be managed by a second role. Each compensation plan can be assigned one or more roles to manage and only those roles will have visibility into creating, viewing, and processing compensation for those employees.

Multiple compensation levels per job

Compensation ranges can vary by location/region and company. This is true within a single job. Examples might include consultants in Boston, MA, having different compensation ranges than consultants in Fargo, ND. This new functionality makes it easy to configure scenarios like the one above without creating additional jobs to account for the compensation ranges needed.
