Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Service Update 21042 Release Notes


Service Update 21042 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.2.0 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 21042.

Important

Note: Service Update naming convention has been revised to clarify the link between the version number and Service Update number. For example, Service Update 150 will now correspond to version number 150xx. Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all associated fixes will be rolled into a subsequent Service Update. For this reason, Service Update numbers may not always increase incrementally.

Service Update 21042 resolves the following issues:

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.

Accessibility

  • The accessibility screen reader did not announce the instructions for minimum and maximum values for every text control within the Recurrence dialog box.
  • The accessibility screen reader did not announce the Flow level when using the '+Add' button.*
  • No tooltip was displayed and was not announced by Narrator for the AutoComplete control.
  • On mobile, voiceover did not announce anything when selecting “Reply” on the Timeline if there was no text entered.
  • When reflow was applied, text content within the owner lookup menu was not visible in the Sales app.*

Outlook

  • The Mail App could not be opened when using a private browser window.

Solutions

  • When creating a new SLA item with related entity in the success condition, the settings could not be saved.

Unified Interface

  • The Relevance Search box was missing within the Mail App.*
  • Dashboards did not load in the dashboard picker on mobile.
  • After selecting "Filter by" on a lookup field column, filtering capability was no longer available on that column and the lookup field name was no longer visible.*
  • Email activities displayed HTML code instead of truncated text within the activities pane of the timeline.*
  • When a record was in a collapsed state, the notes and email description previews were not visible.
  • The attachment delete command was not visible when deleting an attachment that contained a long name label.*
  • In Sales Hub, when merging an account with added values in the header fields, the fields were not visible merge dialog box.
  • On mobile and while in offline mode, the labels for “Microphone” and “Video recording” intermittently did not appear within the settings menu.
  • When using Customer Control Framework, when a custom third party control rendered another, the parent control could not render the child control.
  • HTML tags were visible in the description when a record with a note and description was in a collapsed state.*
  • When attempts to retrieve Timeline Records failed, the menu loaded continuously instead of displaying an error message.*
  • In the Customer Service Hub, when replying to a post within an existing case, if not information was entered in a text box, no mandatory instruction or error message was shown.
  • When using keyboard navigation within the Customer Service Hub, focus did not move to every actionable control.
  • When using negative values in a global relevance search, the value was automatically modified to the default 100 value.*
  • The visual focus indicator was not visible on the Dashboard Selector box after selecting a list item via keyboard navigation.
  • Global filters could not be selected in dashboards when using tablet devices.

Error Messages, Exceptions, and Failures

The following list details issues whose resolutions correct actions that produce errors, unhandled exceptions, or system or component failures.

Outlook

  • An error occurred when opening the Dynamics App for Outlook Desktop client for users with the Outlook MSI version.*

Platform Services

  • An error occurred when running a flow that would get file content from OneDrive for Business.
  • An error occurred when creating an async workflow job when using DataBlobId in async operation record and the FCB.AOBRetrieveAddDataBlobIdColumn was enabled.*
  • An error occurred when using non-virtual logical attributes in the filter expression for a flow within a solution.
  • An error occurred when creating a new Bulk Deletion job within the Data Management settings.*

Unified Interface

  • An error occurred when modifying an image within the notes section of a booking entity in offline mode.
  • An error occurred in offline mode when clicking on the Audio and Video icons in the timeline, when those functions were disabled.*
  • An error occurred when selecting or loading a lookup field value.*
  • An error occurred when replying or forwarding an email with a contact that was missing a name (first or last).
  • An error occurred when using the Search (Global) function within the Unified Service Desk.
  • An error occurred when creating an appointment and selecting “Recurrence command.”
  • An error occurred when entities within relevance search, search results did not contain a Quick Action feature.*
  • On iOS, an error occurred within the Field Service app when navigating within a Bookable Resource Booking record after leaving the record open for an extended period of time.*
