Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Service Update 228 Release Notes


Service Update 228 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.1.0 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 228.

Important

Note: Service Update naming convention has been revised to clarify the link between the version number and Service Update number. For example, Service Update 150 will now correspond to version number 150xx. Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all associated fixes will be rolled into a subsequent Service Update. For this reason, Service Update numbers may not always increase incrementally.

Service Update 228 resolves the following issues:

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.

Accessibility

  • Background control information was visible in Popups (Identify, Research, and Resolve) when reflow was applied when the page was zoomed in to 400%.
  • The ‘Active for less than one minute’ popup did not display when applying reflow within a Business Process Flow when the page was zoomed in to 400%.
  • When using keyboard navigation within the Sales Hub, multiple font options and keyboard shortcuts were disabled.
  • Finishing or reactivating a Business Process Flow had not been announced by the screen reader.
  • Screen reader had not read “Reactivated” when reactivating a case.

Platform Services

  • Duplicate detection rules did not display details if the field value of records had an apostrophe.
  • When installing the German language package, the purchaseprocess optionset had displayed values in English.
  • App file thumbnails with white backgrounds were displayed with black backgrounds.
  • When performing API queries using aliased attributes, some results would be missing.*
  • The duplicate detection rule would not display results after checking for duplicate account records.*
  • When tracking an appointment series and synchronizing the changes, the series was not tracked and the tracking status remained in a "Track Pending" state.*

Sales

  • When creating a marketing list and adding contacts, the user interface did not reflect the updated membership count.
  • The resolve button within a case was unresponsive when selected.*
  • Solution imports with a 'contact_parent_contact' relationship component would fail.*

Solutions

  • When an established Service Level Agreement (SLA) condition was met, the user interface displayed the SLA status as expired.*

Unified Interface

  • The time contextual email window did not open after selected from a work queue within a lead/opportunity.*
  • When creating a record in an appointment entity, the date and time zone was not consistent with the rest of the entity.*
  • When downloading error logs for plugins in the Unified Interface, the logs did not contain all of the available plugin error details.
  • When adding columns containing filtered options to the Advanced Find feature, the user interface did not contain the same options within the editing pane and the editing dialog box.
  • After creating and saving an 'All day event' appointment record, the page incorrectly redirected to the dashboard page.*
  • The user interface was unresponsive when selecting options within the filter menu.
  • When a new task was created and synced to Outlook, the task reminder was triggered when the synchronization was complete.*
  • Some appointments were not visible in the Calendar within "My Appointments."*
  • Stage progression did not occur when creating a Business Process Flow (BPF) with missing required fields on a non-active stage.*
  • When the sitemap and side panel were expanded simultaneously, the user interface visibility was intermittently interrupted.*
  • Email forms did not maintain the user-specified selection, “Email for Interactive Experience" after selecting it for a record.*
  • When modifying a new or existing record, all of the modifications to form field values were reverted when the changes were saved.*
  • When using a business rule to lock an editable grid, the user interface allowed locked fields to be edited after the form was refreshed.
  • When creating a new database on Android devices in offline mode, the database remained in the "initializing" state.

Knowledge

  • HTML content had rendered in timeline when the notes analysis feature had been enabled.

The following list details issues whose resolutions correct actions that produce errors, unhandled exceptions, or system or component failures.

Knowledge Management

  • An error occurred when clicking on a header title to open an entity record in the timeline.*

Platform Services

  • An error occurred while upgrading a solution import that maintained customizations and enabled SDK messages.*
  • An error occurred during a solution import when inserting a value into the environment value dialog box.*
  • An error occurred when running Solution Checker on solutions with a Modern Driven App included.*
  • An error occurred when exporting solutions that contained a model-driven app.*
  • An error occurred when importing unmanaged solutions with both VirtualEntity and default forms enabled.*

Sales

  • An error occurred when opening the 'Basic Microsoft Teams Integration' feature in SharePoint.
  • An error occurred when selecting a ribbon command within an entity to export records to Excel Online.*
  • An error occurred when applying a sorting filter to a dataset while the "all locations" option was selected.

Unified Interface

  • An account that did not contain a default Dashboard was automatically assigned the App for Outlook Dashboard , which failed to load because it was activated outside of the mail app.*
  • An error occurred when creating a new record in an entity.*
  • An error occurred when navigating to a form page in the Unified Interface.*
  • An error message containing incorrect dialog occurred when the character limit was exceeded for the description of an opportunity entity.*
  • An error occurred when attempting save changes to a new contact.*
  • An error occurred when refreshing an appointment form with all day event selected.*
  • When modifying a new or existing record, all of the modifications to form field values were reverted when the changes were saved.*
  • An error occurred when navigating to the grid page of an entity.*
  • An error message containing incorrect dialogue was triggered when executing a disabled worflow.
