This class consists exclusively of static methods that operate on files, directories, or other types of files.

In most cases, the methods defined here will delegate to the associated file system provider to perform the file operations.

CreateDirectories(IPath, IFileAttribute[])

Creates a directory by creating all nonexistent parent directories first.

Creates a new and empty file, failing if the file already exists.

CreateLink(IPath, IPath)

Creates a new link (directory entry) for an existing file (optional operation).

Tests whether a file is writable.

JavaFinalize()

Called by the garbage collector on an object when garbage collection determines that there are no more references to the object.
