TypeConverter.GetStandardValuesExclusive TypeConverter.GetStandardValuesExclusive TypeConverter.GetStandardValuesExclusive TypeConverter.GetStandardValuesExclusive Method

Definition

Returns whether the collection of standard values returned from GetStandardValues() is an exclusive list.

Overloads

GetStandardValuesExclusive() GetStandardValuesExclusive() GetStandardValuesExclusive() GetStandardValuesExclusive()

Returns whether the collection of standard values returned from GetStandardValues() is an exclusive list.

GetStandardValuesExclusive(ITypeDescriptorContext) GetStandardValuesExclusive(ITypeDescriptorContext) GetStandardValuesExclusive(ITypeDescriptorContext) GetStandardValuesExclusive(ITypeDescriptorContext)

Returns whether the collection of standard values returned from GetStandardValues() is an exclusive list of possible values, using the specified context.

GetStandardValuesExclusive() GetStandardValuesExclusive() GetStandardValuesExclusive() GetStandardValuesExclusive()

Returns whether the collection of standard values returned from GetStandardValues() is an exclusive list.

public:
 bool GetStandardValuesExclusive();
public bool GetStandardValuesExclusive ();
member this.GetStandardValuesExclusive : unit -> bool
Public Function GetStandardValuesExclusive () As Boolean

Returns

true if the TypeConverter.StandardValuesCollection returned from GetStandardValues() is an exhaustive list of possible values; false if other values are possible.

Remarks

As implemented in this class, this method always returns false.

If the list is exclusive, such as in an enumeration data type, then no other values are valid. If the list is not exclusive, then other valid values might exist in addition to the list of standard values that the GetStandardValues method provides. If the values are exclusive, the list returned by GetStandardValues should not allow these values to be edited.

GetStandardValuesExclusive(ITypeDescriptorContext) GetStandardValuesExclusive(ITypeDescriptorContext) GetStandardValuesExclusive(ITypeDescriptorContext) GetStandardValuesExclusive(ITypeDescriptorContext)

Returns whether the collection of standard values returned from GetStandardValues() is an exclusive list of possible values, using the specified context.

public:
 virtual bool GetStandardValuesExclusive(System::ComponentModel::ITypeDescriptorContext ^ context);
public virtual bool GetStandardValuesExclusive (System.ComponentModel.ITypeDescriptorContext context);
abstract member GetStandardValuesExclusive : System.ComponentModel.ITypeDescriptorContext -> bool
override this.GetStandardValuesExclusive : System.ComponentModel.ITypeDescriptorContext -> bool
Public Overridable Function GetStandardValuesExclusive (context As ITypeDescriptorContext) As Boolean

Parameters

Returns

true if the TypeConverter.StandardValuesCollection returned from GetStandardValues() is an exhaustive list of possible values; false if other values are possible.

Remarks

As implemented in this class, this method always returns false.

If the list is exclusive, such as in an enumeration data type, then no other values are valid. Notes to Inheritors

Override this method if the type you want to convert supports standard values.

Use the context parameter to extract additional information about the environment from which this converter is invoked. This parameter can be null, so always check it. Also, properties on the context object can return null.
