MediaPermissionAttribute Class

Definition

Allows security actions for MediaPermission to be applied to code using declarative security.

public ref class MediaPermissionAttribute sealed : System::Security::Permissions::CodeAccessSecurityAttribute
[System.AttributeUsage(System.AttributeTargets.Assembly | System.AttributeTargets.Class | System.AttributeTargets.Constructor | System.AttributeTargets.Method | System.AttributeTargets.Struct, AllowMultiple=true, Inherited=false)]
public sealed class MediaPermissionAttribute : System.Security.Permissions.CodeAccessSecurityAttribute
type MediaPermissionAttribute = class

Examples

The following example shows how to demand that the calling code has unrestricted MediaPermissionAudio at link time. Demands are typically made in managed libraries (DLLs) to help protect methods or classes from potentially harmful code.

[MediaPermissionAttribute(SecurityAction.Demand, Audio = MediaPermissionAudio.AllAudio)]
<MediaPermissionAttribute(SecurityAction.Demand, Audio:=MediaPermissionAudio.AllAudio)>
Public Sub Method01()
End Sub

Remarks

Important

Partially trusted code is no longer supported. This attribute has no effect in .NET Core.

MediaPermissionAttribute controls the ability for audio, image, and video media to work in a partial-trust Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) application. The scope of the declaration that is allowed depends on the SecurityAction that is used.

The security information declared by a security attribute is stored in the metadata of the attribute target and is accessed by the system at run time. Security attributes are used only for declarative security. For imperative security, use the corresponding permission class, MediaPermission.

Constructors

MediaPermissionAttribute(SecurityAction)

Initializes a new instance of MediaPermissionAttribute.

Image

Gets or sets the image permission level for the MediaPermissionAttribute.

TypeId

When implemented in a derived class, gets a unique identifier for this Attribute.

(Inherited from Attribute)
Unrestricted

Gets or sets a value indicating whether full (unrestricted) permission to the resource protected by the attribute is declared.

(Inherited from SecurityAttribute)
Video

Gets or sets the video permission level for the MediaPermissionAttribute.

Returns a value that indicates whether this instance is equal to a specified object.

(Inherited from Attribute)
GetHashCode()

Returns the hash code for this instance.

(Inherited from Attribute)
GetType()

(Inherited from Object)
IsDefaultAttribute()

When overridden in a derived class, indicates whether the value of this instance is the default value for the derived class.

(Inherited from Attribute)
Match(Object)

When overridden in a derived class, returns a value that indicates whether this instance equals a specified object.

Explicit Interface Implementations

_Attribute.GetIDsOfNames(Guid, IntPtr, UInt32, UInt32, IntPtr)

Maps a set of names to a corresponding set of dispatch identifiers.

(Inherited from Attribute)
_Attribute.GetTypeInfo(UInt32, UInt32, IntPtr)

Retrieves the type information for an object, which can be used to get the type information for an interface.

(Inherited from Attribute)
_Attribute.GetTypeInfoCount(UInt32)

Retrieves the number of type information interfaces that an object provides (either 0 or 1).

(Inherited from Attribute)
_Attribute.Invoke(UInt32, Guid, UInt32, Int16, IntPtr, IntPtr, IntPtr, IntPtr)

Provides access to properties and methods exposed by an object.
