DataGridView.OnCellContextMenuStripNeeded(DataGridViewCellContextMenuStripNeededEventArgs) Method

Raises the CellContextMenuStripNeeded event.

 virtual void OnCellContextMenuStripNeeded(System::Windows::Forms::DataGridViewCellContextMenuStripNeededEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnCellContextMenuStripNeeded (System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellContextMenuStripNeededEventArgs e);
abstract member OnCellContextMenuStripNeeded : System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellContextMenuStripNeededEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnCellContextMenuStripNeeded : System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellContextMenuStripNeededEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnCellContextMenuStripNeeded (e As DataGridViewCellContextMenuStripNeededEventArgs)

The value of the ColumnIndex property of e is greater than the number of columns in the control minus one.

The value of the RowIndex property of e is greater than the number of rows in the control minus one.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnCellContextMenuStripNeeded method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnCellContextMenuStripNeeded(DataGridViewCellContextMenuStripNeededEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class' OnCellContextMenuStripNeeded(DataGridViewCellContextMenuStripNeededEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
