DataGridView.OnCellEnter(DataGridViewCellEventArgs) Method

Raises the CellEnter event.

 virtual void OnCellEnter(System::Windows::Forms::DataGridViewCellEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnCellEnter (System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs e);
abstract member OnCellEnter : System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnCellEnter : System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnCellEnter (e As DataGridViewCellEventArgs)

A DataGridViewCellEventArgs that contains the event data.

The value of the ColumnIndex property of e is greater than the number of columns in the control minus one.

The value of the RowIndex property of e is greater than the number of rows in the control minus one.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnCellEnter method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnCellEnter(DataGridViewCellEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnCellEnter(DataGridViewCellEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
