DataGridView.OnRowValidating(DataGridViewCellCancelEventArgs) Method

Raises the RowValidating event.

 virtual void OnRowValidating(System::Windows::Forms::DataGridViewCellCancelEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnRowValidating (System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellCancelEventArgs e);
abstract member OnRowValidating : System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellCancelEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnRowValidating : System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellCancelEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnRowValidating (e As DataGridViewCellCancelEventArgs)

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnRowValidating method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnRowValidating(DataGridViewCellCancelEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnRowValidating(DataGridViewCellCancelEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
