DataGridViewButtonCell.OnKeyDown(KeyEventArgs, Int32) Method

Definition

Called when a character key is pressed while the focus is on the cell.

protected:
 override void OnKeyDown(System::Windows::Forms::KeyEventArgs ^ e, int rowIndex);
protected override void OnKeyDown (System.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs e, int rowIndex);
override this.OnKeyDown : System.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs * int -> unit
Protected Overrides Sub OnKeyDown (e As KeyEventArgs, rowIndex As Integer)

Parameters

e
KeyEventArgs

A KeyEventArgs that contains the event data.

rowIndex
Int32

The row index of the current cell, or -1 if the cell is not owned by a row.

Remarks

When activated by the SPACE key, this method updates the cell's user interface (UI).

This method is similar to the Control.OnKeyDown method. It is called in the same circumstances in which a Control.KeyDown event is raised, but it does not actually raise the event.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnKeyDown(KeyEventArgs, Int32) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnKeyDown(KeyEventArgs, Int32) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
