TextBoxBase.MultilineChanged Event

Occurs when the value of the Multiline property has changed.

 event EventHandler ^ MultilineChanged;
public event EventHandler MultilineChanged;
member this.MultilineChanged : EventHandler
Public Custom Event MultilineChanged As EventHandler

Event Type

The following code example demonstrates the use of this member. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the MultilineChanged event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing MessageBox.Show with Console.WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a project that contains an instance of a type that inherits from TextBoxBase, such as a TextBox or TextBoxBase. Then name the instance TextBoxBase1 and ensure that the event handler is associated with the MultilineChanged event.

private void TextBoxBase1_MultilineChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e) {

   MessageBox.Show("You are in the TextBoxBase.MultilineChanged event.");
Private Sub TextBoxBase1_MultilineChanged(sender as Object, e as EventArgs) _
     Handles TextBoxBase1.MultilineChanged

   MessageBox.Show("You are in the TextBoxBase.MultilineChanged event.")

End Sub
