This section of the release plan focuses on new capabilities that apply to all Finance and Operations apps like Finance, Supply Change Management, Commerce, and Project Operations. Below are some highlights.
User productivity and experiences
Investments in improved user experiences and enhancements to existing capabilities are focus areas for 2020 release wave 1. For example, the new grid control supports grouping of rows with subtotals. The system can recommend fields and filters based on usage of other users in the organization. This wave also includes improvement in filtering capabilities (that make it easy for users to find their desired data) and bolstering personalization so customers and users can create tailored, optimized user experiences. Task recorder includes new functionality to support the Regression suite automation tool (RSAT).
Reporting and analytics
Modern designs for business-critical documents are available to spotlight your brand. Additional chart types supported by the embedded chart control are made available for application developers to use to create advanced visualizations of business data. Use the Area Range visualizations to effectively present data that offers a historical view of measured data.
The interface will adapt to the Finance and Operations apps that the current user is licensed to use, avoiding clutter by hiding menus and menu items that are not part of your license.
