Business value

This enables a Business Central host to set resource limits in the system, without disrupting users who might need to exceed the limits from time to time.

Feature details

  • A system administrator can set soft and hard limits on report execution time on the server.

  • A developer can set a maximum timeout in report metadata.

  • At runtime, an end user can override the metadata setting.

The soft limits set on Business Central online are expected to be six hours for version 17.0, with a goal of one hour.
