Migrate customer data to the new "Local" German regions
If you're an existing Microsoft Cloud Germany (Microsoft Cloud Deutschland) customer, you'll be able to migrate your Dynamics 365 users to the new "Local" German regions. The following services will be migrated as part of this approach:
- Dynamics 365 Sales
- Dynamics 365 Customer Service
- Dynamics 365 Field Service
To initiate migration, the first step is to opt in to a Microsoft-assisted migration to our new German datacenter regions.
Dynamics 365 and Power BI
Opt-in to the Microsoft-driven migration for customer engagement apps (Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Dynamics 365 Marketing, and Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation) and Power BI is happening now. When we are ready to start your migration, we will inform you through the Message center in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
When the subscription migration is complete, pricing will decrease to reflect the public cloud pricing. Direct customers will see a new subscription with a new annual renewal date.
We'll continuously update this topic in the coming months to add detailed information about prerequisites, step-by-step procedures, and the impact of migration.
Microsoft Cloud Deutschland transition
In August 2018, we announced plans to deliver two new cloud datacenter regions in Germany offering in-country customer data residency as well as full connectivity to Microsoft’s global cloud network. These new regions are now live with the general availability of Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform. As a result, we are closing the current Microsoft Cloud Deutschland.
