Key benefits of this release include improved security of the platform:

  • Moved Payment processor secrets to Azure Key Vault
  • Moved Payment processing to Azure Background service
  • Assigned managed identity to Azure Services for interaction with database
  • Visual studio and SQL Management studio is no longer required during the release
  • Improved payment processor stability and error handling

Additional notable enhancements include:

  • Improved accessibility
  • Improved recurring donation stability
  • Improved installation experience and added ability to install from Microsoft Cloud Solution Center via ARM template
