Create forecast lines

Use this procedure to create new forecast lines for products.

  1. Click Product information management > Common > Released products.

  2. On the Action Pane, on the Plan tab, click Supply forecast to open the Supply forecast form, or click Demand forecast to open the Demand forecast form.

  3. On the Overview tab, press CTRL+N to create a new forecast line.

  4. Select the forecast model to use, and then enter detailed information, such as the item, item quantity, or total transaction amount.

  5. Use the Allocation fields to set up the time horizon and the time intervals that are used to distribute the forecast quantities. For detailed descriptions of these fields, see Demand forecast (form).

  6. Click Create lines to create the forecast lines.

  7. View the forecast lines in the Exploded section in the lower part of the form.

The following table lists additional paths that you can use to access the Supply forecast or Demand forecast form.

Item groups

Click Inventory management > Periodic > Forecast > Entry > Item groups. Click Supply to open the Supply forecast form, or click Demand to open the Demand forecast form.

Customers

Click Accounts receivable > Common > Customers > All customers. Select a customer, and then on the Action Pane, on the Customer tab, click Forecast.

Customer groups

Click Accounts receivable > Setup > Customers > Customer groups. Click Forecast.

Vendors

Click Accounts payable > Common > Vendors > All vendors. Select a vendor, and then on the Action Pane, on the Vendor tab, click Edit. On the Action Pane, on the Procurement tab, click Set up > Forecast.

Vendor groups

Click Accounts payable > Setup > Vendors > Vendor groups. Click Forecast.
