Commerce Data Exchange: Synch Service message tree (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack

Click Retail > Inquiries > Commerce Data Exchange > Async Server (previous version) status messages. Select a message and then click View message tree.

Use the Commerce Data Exchange: Synch Service message tree form to view the source and routing of a message that you selected in the Commerce Data Exchange: Synch Service messages form.

Note

This form is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is installed.

To help you quickly analyze the source and routing of a message, this form displays a tree diagram. This tree diagram shows the names and relations of the Retail components that generated or relayed the message. When you click a node in the message tree, information about the node is displayed on the right side of the form.

When a Retail Scheduler job runs, it creates an entry in the scheduler log table. Each run of the job is identified by a GUID. This GUID is passed together with the data transfer and is recorded in the message database for Synch Service.

The status messages are then uploaded to Microsoft Dynamics AX. Based on the entries in the IncomingMessages table, the source and current location of a message can be determined. The entries in the OutgoingMessages table show the next destination. For the store’s instance of Synch Service, entries in the OutgoingMessages table also show the database to which the data package is written. For P-jobs, the flow is reversed.
