Online users (form)

Click System administration > Common > Users > Online users.

Use this form to view a list of the client sessions and Application Object Server (AOS) instances that are currently running in an environment. An environment is composed of AOS instances that are connected to the same database.

Lists all client sessions that are connected to an AOS instance that is running in the environment.

Server instances

Lists all AOS instances that are running in the environment.

Disconnect the current user from the database.

Refresh

Refresh the data display.

Reject new clients

As part of maintenance, you may have to temporarily add or remove AOS instances from a cluster.

In order to remove an AOS instance from a cluster when it no longer has any client connections, specify that the AOS instance reject new client connections.

Accept new clients

Specify that an AOS instance accept new client connections. If an AOS instance is part of a cluster, this option adds it to the cluster.

Description

Session type

Type of session. Options include the following:

  • User - A Windows client connection.

  • Business Connector - A connection that uses the Business Connector Proxy.

  • Worker - A worker thread that is generated by a batch process.

Status (Client sessions tab)

The state of the session. Options include the following:

  • Running - The session is currently connected and active.

  • Killed - The session has been stopped.

  • Ending - Waiting for AOS - The administrator has clicked End sessions to end the session, but the AOS has not yet processed the request.

  • Ending - Blocked - The administrator has clicked End sessions to end the session and the AOS has processed the request, but there is a problem disconnecting the session.

Session ID

The ID number of the session.

Computer name

The name of the computer that the user is logged on to.

AOS instance name

The AOS instance that the client is connected to.

Active users

Number of active users connected to the AOS instance.

Business Connector users

Number of active Business Connector users.

Web users

Number of active Web users.

Server instance name

The name of the AOS instance that is currently running.

Port

The port of the AOS instance that is currently running.

Status (Server instances tab)

AOS instance status. Options include the following:

  • Alive - The AOS is accepting new client connections.

  • Draining - The AOS is not accepting new client connections.

Number of clients

The number of clients connected to the AOS instance.
