Sequences (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

Click Master planning > Setup > Sequencing > Sequences.

Use this form to define sequence identification (ID) codes that you can assign to items. For the selected sequence ID, you can define a value that specifies the required order of preference.

Example

In the paint industry, color-based paints can have color properties and other attributes, such as latex or enamel. In this form, you can assign numeric values to paint colors in the sequence code and then rank them according to the sequence in which you want them ordered or sorted. Note that the lower the numeric value, the higher the ranking in the sequence.
