Subcontracting service details (form)

Click Production control > Setup > Lean manufacturing > Production flows. On the Versions FastTab, click Activities, and then click Details. On the Service terms FastTab, click Details.

Use this form to view or modify the detailed service terms that are configured for an activity. Service terms are defined for activities that are subcontracted. For more information, see Add subcontracting service to activity (form).

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Service terms

This FastTab contains the detailed settings that are defined for the service. This information includes the service, the product dimensions, and the parameters that are defined for the calculation of the service quantity.

Field	Description
Item number	The identifier of the item of the Service product type that is used to obtain the service from the vendor.
Configuration	The configuration for the service that is provided.
Use output product configuration	Select this check box to indicate that the configuration for the service is determined by the configuration of the output product that is supplied by the activity.
Size	The size for the service that is provided.
Use output product size	Select this check box to indicate that the size for the service is determined by the size of the output product that is supplied by the activity.
Color	The color for the service that is provided.
Use output product color	Select this check box to indicate that the color for the service is determined by the color of the output product that is supplied by the activity.
Service unit	The unit of measure that the service is provided in.
Service ratio	The ratio of quantity to the service quantity base. The ratio is used to calculate the quantity that is required or delivered for the service. The default value is 1.0, but you can modify this value.
Service quantity base	The data that is used to calculate the service quantity for the activity. The options are as follows: Job – The service quantity is based on the number of jobs that are performed during the calculation period for the service. Product quantity conforming – The service quantity is based on the quantity of product that is produced, and that meets quality requirements, during the calculation period for the service. Product quantity total – The service quantity is based on the total quantity of items that is produced during the calculation period for the service. The total quantity includes products that meet quality standards and products that do not meet quality standards. Activity time – The service quantity is based on the duration of the activities that are performed during the calculation period for the service.

Carrier

This FastTab is visible only when a carrier is configured to ship a transfer activity.

Field	Description
Carrier ID	For transfer activities where Carrier is specified in the Freighted by field, the carrier that ships the products from the outgoing location to the incoming location. Note You can assign carriers to transfer services only if the carrier ID is associated with a vendor.

Output items

This FastTab is visible only when you select service terms that are not defined as default service terms.

Buttons

Button	Description
Add	Add an output product to the service terms. You can select an item, and then assign product dimensions.
Remove	Remove the selected output product from the service terms.
Dimensions	Open the Dimensions display form, where you can select the product dimensions that are displayed in the list of output products.

Item number	The item identifier of the output product.
