Drive user engagement across all your devices with Microsoft Graph

The objectives of this lab are:

  • Learn what the Microsoft Graph is and what it is for.
  • Learn about Microsoft Graph Explorer
  • Introduction to the use of the Microsoft Graph API through several examples focusing on authentication, OneDrive and Outlook.
  • Finally, how to prepare our application so that it will appear on Timeline and we can pick up where we left off.


Here are the prerequisites and steps required to set up your computer. After completing this section you will have a working environment, ready for the other steps.

  1. Install or update Visual Studio Community 2017 or Visual Studio Enterprise 2017, version 15.7+
  2. Verify Windows 10 development mode is enabled.
  3. Make sure that you've installed the tools for Windows 10 development(Build 17134 or higher)
  4. You have installed Windows 10 April 2018 update.
