Deep Integration with Microsoft 365
When a user is leveraging Dynamics 365 for phones or Dynamics 365 for tablets, the integration between all mobile applications by Microsoft can provide a seamless experience. The user can move from Dynamics 365 to Outlook, from Outlook to SharePoint, and then back to Dynamics 365 all within the same workflow.
Deep app linking between Dynamics 365, SharePoint, and OneNote
Integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 with Microsoft SharePoint gives us the ability to provide deep app linking support for users. The integration with SharePoint provides more than Document Management capabilities within Dynamics 365, it also gives us the opportunity to enable OneNote integration, and integration with OneDrive for Business.
For example, a sales person wants to see a OneNote notebook associated with an account in Dynamics 365. Rather than opening the SharePoint mobile app or the OneNote mobile app to try to find the document, the user can locate the account record in Dynamics 365 for phones or Dynamics 365 for tablets and not only see the notebook but interact with it as well. Watch this video to see this in action.
Tracking activities from Microsoft Outlook mobile to Dynamics 365 for phones and Dynamics 365 for tablets
Deep app linking doesn't have to be initiated from Dynamics 365 for phones or Dynamics 365 for tablets. It can also be initiated from other Microsoft mobile applications running on the device. Watch this video to learn more about this.
Likewise, uploading a document through the SharePoint mobile app into the folder corresponding to a Dynamics 365 account, will cause the document to appear within the Dynamics 365 for phones and Dynamics 365 for tablets apps.
