You can set up maintenance information on a fixed asset card, assign maintenance G/L accounts on the fixed asset posting groups, and create maintenance codes to assign when you are posting maintenance. You can use maintenance codes to describe the type of maintenance that is performed on a fixed asset.
Additionally, you can use maintenance codes to analyze an asset's maintenance cost. For example, the Fixed Asset Maintenance Analysis report can be used to view maintenance costs for a specified date or period.
