If you're new to MSLE or looking for a refresher, these interactive onboarding sessions led by instructors are ideal for you. They provide an opportunity to learn how to access, comprehend, and utilize the curriculum and teaching resources, all while connecting with MSLE educators worldwide. These sessions enhance your knowledge of MSLE procedures and materials, kickstart your course and certification preparations, provide assistance from Community Managers, and foster connections within the MSLE teams community.

In each session, we dive into the fundamental aspects of MSLE, including initial steps, training methods, showcasing valuable resources, and certifications for both you and your students. We'll also provide guidance on course preparation.

Self-paced Onboarding Resources

Virtual Educator Prep Sessions (VEPS) are resources for Educators to support you as you join the MSLE program and prepare to teach Microsoft curriculum. This content is easily accessible via Microsoft Learn in a series of modules tailored for the Microsoft Learn for Educators community. These modules guide you through onboarding to the MSLE program, from signing in to the MSLE Portal, downloading content from the Learning Download Center, recording your course details in the Portal, accessing the practice assessment, requesting certification voucher, touring the MSLE Teams Community, getting prepared to teach your first class containing Microsoft Fundamentals or Advanced Role-Based content, exploring different curriculum integration options, and more.

Microsoft Learn - Take control of your learning journey as you prepare to teach Microsoft curriculum. Learning paths on Microsoft Learn correspond to our Microsoft curriculum and supporting teaching materials. These paths guide you through the content and enable you to build your own technical skills at your own pace as you prepare to teach your classes.

Microsoft Virtual Training Days - Participating in our live or recorded deliveries of Microsoft official courses will accelerate your own learning journey. This experience enables you to go through the same experience that you may be looking to create for students within your own courses. Attend our training days, see a Microsoft technical trainer deliver the Microsoft curriculum, and deepen your own technical knowledge.

Exam Readiness Zone – Visit the Exam Readiness Zone to hear from experts as they provide tips, tricks, and strategies for preparing for a Microsoft Certification exam. The Exam Readiness Zone videos help you identify the key knowledge and skills measured on the exam and how to allocate your study time. Each video segment corresponds to a major topic area on the exam. The experts point out objectives that many test takers find difficult. There are example questions and answers with explanations. We recommend that you watch these videos after you have completed training or had some practice.

Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) VEPS These modules help you prepare to bring the Microsoft Official Curriculum to life in your classes. You learn tips and tricks from the creators of the Microsoft Learn for Educators program and Microsoft technical trainers about how to prepare for your first teaching session, which labs to use and when, how to introduce topics, and discover other resources and materials that may help your students to be more successful on their exams.

Microsoft Learn for Educators not only helps prepare you to build your students’ technical skills with curriculum and education materials provided by Microsoft, but it also helps you to access and leverage a wide variety of Microsoft tools and resources that support you and your students in your classes. Here are a few that will help you and your students build critical technical skills for the future:

  • Azure Dev Tools for Teaching: Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching puts professional developer tools, software, and services from Microsoft in the hands of faculty and students with low-cost subscriptions. Students receive developer tools at no cost — everything needed to create apps, games, and websites — so they can chase their dreams, create the next significant breakthrough in technology, or get a head start on their career. We designed Azure Dev Tools for Teaching for STEM-focused instruction. Any course curriculum focused on science, technology, engineering, or mathematics is eligible to use Azure Dev Tools for Teaching to help professors teach and students learn more effectively.   • Azure Labs Services: Easily set up and provide on-demand access to preconfigured virtual machines (VMs) to support your students. Teach a class, run a hackathon or a hands-on lab, and more. Define your needs and the service will roll the lab out to your audience. Users access all their lab VMs from a single place.

  • Azure for Students: By creating an Azure for Students account, your students will receive access to more than 25 free Azure services plus $100 in Azure credit that renews annually. Students can also download free Dev Tools such as Visual Studio and SQL Server and access learning content through one convenient interface.

  • Microsoft Learn Student Hub: Built for students looking to master new concepts at their own speed and schedule, Microsoft Learn Student Hub allows students to develop practical skills through fun, interactive modules and learning paths. Educators and students can explore courses from universities like UC Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, and University of Oxford – all tailored for students who want to build in-demand job skills and the educators that want to teach them.

  • Microsoft Educator Center: Microsoft Educator Center contains a collection of resources you can use to make the most of remote teaching and skill building. With pathways to hands-on, educator tested projects, STEM lessons, free tools to help keep students engaged in remote and hybrid learning, and more, access the Microsoft in Education portal to build your skills to give your students the learning experiences they need to succeed.

  • Microsoft Technical Quest: The Microsoft Technical Quest game can be played during a 15-minute to 30-minute course break, at lunch, or even after an event. It offers learners the opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowledge of Azure administration and architecture. Skill and chance both play a role in this hands-on, multiplayer or autonomous game, as players architect solutions based on real-world application of Microsoft technologies. With Microsoft Technical Quest, learners apply what they’ve learned and add to their technical skills, knowledge, and experience.

  • Workshop-O-Matic: A workshop library built by Cloud Advocates in partnership with Microsoft Student Ambassadors. In this GitHub repo, you'll find grab-and-go resources to help you host your own workshop.
