Troubleshoot Kaizala notifications

Microsoft Kaizala has retired on August 31, 2023. We recommend using Microsoft Teams for continued connection, sharing, and collaboration.

Some devices have certain notifications off by default, so you might miss notifications from Kaizala. This article discusses how to solve these notification issues on certain devices. If you don't see your device's notification info in this list, check your device manufacturer's help pages to learn how to turn on notifications for apps.

One Plus A3003

There are a couple of things you'll have to do to turn on the notifications on the One Plus.

  1. Go to Settings > Apps.

  2. Tap the gear icon and then scroll down to App to Auto-Launch.

  3. Tap the slider next to Kaizala to turn on notifications for Kaizala.

You'll also need to change an option in Aggressive Doze & App Hibernation settings.

  1. Go to Settings > Apps.

  2. Tap the gear icon and then scroll down to the Device option.

  3. Tap the Battery option and then tap More Screenshot of More icon. at the top of the screen.

  4. Make sure the Aggressive Doze & App Hibernation option is off.

Oppo CPH1609

There are a couple of things you'll have to do to turn on the notifications on the Oppo.

  1. Go to Settings > Advanced Settings on your Android device.

  2. Tap the Battery option and then tap Protected apps.

  3. Go to Kaizala and select the option to protect it.

You'll also need to change an option in your Android 6.0 version and later.

  1. Go to Settings and open the apps section. Then go to Advanced.

  2. Go to Ignore Battery Optimizations.

  3. Go to Kaizala and select the option to protect it.

For Android versions before 6.0, you'll also need to change a few settings.

  1. Go to Settings > Battery.

  2. Go to Kaizala and turn off Freeze in background > Automatically optimize when an abnormality is detected.

Now allow notifications.

  1. Go to Settings > notification panel & status bar > Notifications.

  2. Go to Kaizala and turn on Notifications and Priority Display.

Set Kaizala to automatically start.

  1. Go to Security Center App > Privacy Permissions.

  2. Go to Startup Manager and make sure Startup in background is turned on.

If you've tried all the previous steps and are still having issues, you can try locking Kaizala in the recent apps overview panel. This action will make sure that Kaizala is always running in the background. To do this, open Kaizala, hit the square (App overview) button on the navigation bar, then select Kaizala to lock it into place.

Xiaomi

  1. Go to Settings > notification panel & status bar > Notifications.

  2. Go to Kaizala and make sure it's on.

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2

You'll need to change an option in your Android with version 6.0 and later.

  1. Go to Settings > Battery.

  2. Go to App Power Saving and tap Detail.

  3. On the App Power Saving page, make sure it's turned off.

Vivo

  1. Go to imanager > App Manager > Autostart Manager, and make sure Kaizala is on.
